Sasha Ross grew up in Cleveland, Ohio where she graduated from Orange High School. She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois as a chemistry major and anthropology minor. She then trained at Harvard School of Dental Medicine (HSDM) in Boston, Massachusetts where she earned her D.M.D. degree. During her four years at Harvard, Sasha was elected president of the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity and the Periodontal Study Club, and served on the boards of the HSDM Admissions Committee, Students for Global Health, and American Student Dental Association. She also helped to develop "Bridge Over Troubled Waters", a group dedicated to providing free dental care to underserved teenagers in the greater Boston area, and donated time for "Operation Mouth Guard" and "Project Hands", organizations that educated local youth on the importance of their own dental health.
Immediately after HSDM, Sasha enrolled and earned her Certificate in Periodontics in the College of Dentistry at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). While at UIC, she also obtained a Masters of Oral Sciences. Her research has been presented at various international conferences and was published in Frontiers of Oral Biology.
In her spare time, Sasha especially enjoys music, both performing (piano and voice) and attending concerts. She also relaxes through running, baking, and spending time with her family (lifelong residents of Cleveland) and friends.
Sasha has a deep passion for learning, teaching, and helping periodontal patients, and is very excited to be the newest member of the Western Reserve Periodontics team!
