Guided Bone Regeneration The use of regenerative membranes has significantly enhanced the success of regrowing bone which was lost due to advanced periodontal disease. In these two examples, bony defects (Figs. 1 & 2) were eliminated by the use of bone grafts and supplemented by these membranes (Figs. 3 & 4).
